About Dr Sujay Dangi

During his two-decade clinical career as a primary vision care practitioner Dr. Sujay had the privilege of working with several prominent doctors like Padmashree Dr. S. Natarajan (Founder of Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital, Wadala, Mumbai: Dr. Rumi Jehangir & Dr. Y K Dastoor (Head of Departments at KEM Hospital, Parel; Dr. Ranjit Maniar (Ex-President Bombay Ophthalmologists Association); Dr. Bharat T. Shah (Senior Eye Surgeon & Glaucoma Specialist) & Dr. Harish Kodial (Cataract & Glaucoma Specialist & Senior Ophthalmologist). Dr. Sujay worked at KEM Hospital, Parel; Shushrusha CHS Hospital, Shivaji Park; Motiben Dalvi Hospital, Hughes Road; Sunip Eye Clinic & Phacoemulsification Centre, Santacruz (W) and Dr. Harish Kodial’s Eye Clinic & Surgery Centre at Gamdevi. 


Dr. Sujay also worked as a visiting consultant for Pattani Opticians and eventually set up three private eye clinics & contact lens centres at Churchgate, Santacruz and Dadar. 


Dr. Sujay was also involved with CSR activities and was the treasurer of National Society for Prevention of Blindness, Maharashtra Chapter under the able guidance and leadership of (Late) Dr. Gyanam Murthy (Ex. HOD Ophthalmology, B Y L Charitable Nair Hospital, Bombay Central).


Dr. Sujay was a guest faculty at various colleges and universities related to ophthalmic sciences, vision care and optometry like SNDT Women’s University, Juhu: Municipal Eye Hospital, Grant Road; Aditya Jyot College, Wadala & ITM University, Panvel. Dr. Sujay has three internationally recognised fellowships – FBCLA (UK); FIACLE (Canada); FRSH (UK) and is an expert in Contact lenses & Progressive Addition Lenses and has a penchant of attending to unique and difficult cases in vision care who have not obtained an optimal solution at other places. His detailed and personalised approach towards clinical practice, his understanding of unique patient needs and his vast & varied experience in the vision care field makes him different from other practitioners.


With his vast experience and exposure Dr. Sujay identified a niche in vision care which is underpenetrated & underserved and established a new format of House of Vision at HSR layout Bangalore. The first version of this format was at 27th Main, HSR Layout inside a Mult-speciality healthcare centre named United Medical Centre. Since this new format of House of Vision was successful and needed more space to provide better & wider range of services, HOV was moved to a better bigger premises on 14thmain road, HSR Layout.


The vision care/eye care requirements in India can be classified into primary care, secondary care, tertiary care. India has various reputed eye hopsitals providing excellent secondary & tertiary care and there are many optical chains and stand alone opticals which offer some primary eye care products & services like spectacles, contact lenses and sunglasses. However, where HOV is different is that we are able to provide a very wide range of primary eye care products and services in a professional world class manner at affordable prices and are also able to conduct professional eye examinations to assess and guide people for secondary and tertiary eye care products and services, thus creating easy access for professional eye care for all.
